Baldrick had a good idea for the weblogger. Everytime a link is added to an entry, upon submission, the CGI script should download the page that is linked to and all associated images and cache them locally, and then modify the link in the entry to point to the locally cached copy.
This way, the weblogger becomes as much of an archiving tools as it is a bookmarking tool. Otherwise, its efficacy as a chronological bookmarking tool is seriously hurt bythe fact that links go stale.
